Dennis was introduced to lake boating in the Midwest at infancy. His family moved their boating interests to South Florida in 1958. After two years of college, Dennis went into the United States Navy. Upon finishing his military service in submarines, he returned to the family boatyard business in 1969. Maintaining an interest in the family boatyard, he then expanded their services to open Rhodes Yacht Brokers, Inc. in 1981.

In 1987, Dennis became one of the founding fathers of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, remaining on the Board of Directors until 1990. In 2000, Dennis closed the family boatyard and turned his full attention to yacht sales. He is dedicated to ethical, professional service to all his clients. Dennis provides his full attention before, during, and most importantly-after every yacht sale.
