“Tudo Bem” a Truly Unique Gulfstar Sailboat

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Although yachts tend to get all the attention, there is a large community of sailboat lovers searching for the ideal vessel on which to explore the open waters. This week, we decided to focus on one of our amazing sailboats, a 50-foot Gulfstar CSY 50 named “Tudo Bem.”

Tudo Bem is located on Florida’s east coast in the Lighthouse Point Marina Basin on Lake Placid. One of Vince Lazzara’s most successful designs, this vessel was built in 1987 with an incredible amount of skill using fiberglass. “Having founded Gulfstar Yachts in 1970 after leaving Columbia Yachts, Vince Lazzara was one of the pioneers in early fiberglass yachtbuilding and had a number of innovations that have become standard in boat building today,” according to YachtWorld.com. Tudo Bem has been meticulously maintained and upgraded, as it has been owned by a seasoned Yachtsman for the past twelve years. This truly one-of-a-kind vessels has been repowered with a 110-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine, boom furling mainsail, roller furling headsail and updated electronics and interior appointments. This boat shows very well, and the seller is willing to trade up to a large motor yacht with 20-foot beam and a max draft of 6 feet. Yacht Island Design’s Unbelievable Super Yacht Concepts

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

We’ve reported on many awe-inspiring super yachts before, and as many times as we think we’ve found the most unbelievable design in existence, we really believe we’ve found some mega yachts that take the billion-dollar cake. UK-based Yacht Island Design has created truly extravagant out-of-the-box concepts that bring a completely new dimension to the world of yacht building.

Yacht Island Design likes to “base [their] designs upon innovative floating platforms” that “free [them] to explore bold and daring ideas which challenge the accepted norms within the yachting industry.” And breaking the norm to redefine the super yacht is precisely what Yacht Island has done, with its imaginative designs like the “Tropical Island Paradise.” Inspired by tropical islands, the yacht is replete with tiki huts, a pool and even a faux volcano with water that flows into the pool. This luxury mega yacht concept comes packed with special VIP rooms, arcades, gyms, lounges, spas and a helipad. The rear of the yacht has a retractable beach deck where structures float on the sea, making ocean swimming and other water sports accessible. The concept is as genius as it is beautiful.

We love seeing amazing innovations within the yacht building industry, and Yacht Island Design is leading the way for future companies. To see more of their amazing concepts, click here. We can’t imagine how much one of these super yachts would cost, or who would be able to afford a fantastical mansion on the sea. If you’re looking for a yacht for sale or boat for sale, contact Atlantic Yacht & Ship today. AY&S has countless listings for beautiful yachts and boats, both new and used.

AY&S Offers Trade for Boat Berth in Beautiful Port Vauban

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

Port Vauban is a world-renowned harbor in Antibes on the French Riviera where super yachts gather. Home to more than 100 berths over 75 feet in length, Europe’s largest harbor attracts jet-set crowds from all over the world. Antibes itself is a premier yachting destination, with its elegant French restaurants, cafes, festivals and other unique entertainment.

Surrounded by all types of boating facilities, Port Vauban features berthing alongside and stern-to and an on-site heliport right by the “Billionaire’s Quay.” One of the largest private and public marinas along the Cote d’Azur, it is a very attractive base for boat and yacht owners. Port Vauban is easily accessible from Nice Airport by road, and on the other side of the Cap d’Antibes lays the Bay of Cannes.

But this historic harbor offers more than convenience – Port Vauban dates back as early as 500 BC, when it was used as a base of trade for Greek merchants. Centuries of history lend a novel appeal to this popular port.

Atlantic Yacht & Ship’s Italy-based Mark Meyer currently has a client interested in trading a boat berth in Port Vauban with a 61-foot Sunseeker or similar vessel. If you are interested in exploring Port Vauban and Antibes, you won’t want to miss your opportunity to take advantage of this amazing deal. Contact Mark today by calling 305-677-9137. The 2011 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is over, and Atlantic Yacht & Ship is proud to have enjoyed great success for another year! And, as the Sun Sentinel reports, this weekend’s heavy rainfall didn’t prevent sales from going up.

New boats and marine gadgets were the name of the game at this year’s Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, from revved up horsepower to waterproof fanny packs. Here are some highlights from Florida Sportsman:

  • Huge offshore center-console boats rigged with even more horsepower, as well as reasonably-priced models designed to compete with used-boat prices. Another trend includes well-known offshore center console companies moving into the inshore market.
  • Scout Boats’ new 177 Series of boats, with four different models. Base price $19,995.
  • A 36-foot Yellowfin built for the Texas Highway Patrol. Complete with two machine guns, triple Mercury 4-strokes and suspension seating for speedy chases.
  • Seahead’s ClikPack, a belt add-on pack that is completely waterproof up to 85 feet.
  • SeaSucker’s vacuum-mount system that allows you to mount just about anything to your boat without having to drill a single hole. Mount iPads, cameras, phones and anything else you can imagine.
  • Aqua Design’s sun mask for hunters. The rippled design comes in different colors, and helps to camouflage your clothing from game and fish.
  • Mercury marine’s brand-new 4-stroke 150 hp outboard. Wow.

Whether you came to the show with intentions of investing in any of the amazing yachts for sale or new or used boats for sale, the 52nd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show had a little something for everyone.
