Cannes International Yacht & Boat Show Begins Tomorrow

Cannes International Yacht & Boat Show runs from September 8 to 13, 2010. As Europe’s leading in-water exhibition, the show is held in the unique venue of Vieux Port de Cannes and Port Pierre Canto where visitors will be able to view the finest boats of the year. Yacht owners, buyers and enthusiasts from around the world will gather in the magical setting to view new motor yachts in Vieux Port de Cannes and used vessels in Port Pierre Canto. This extraordinary six day event celebrates its 33rd Anniversary tomorrow in the beautiful French Riviera.

The Cannes International Yacht & Boat Show will draw approximately:

  • 57,000 visitors
  • 500 boats in water (80% of them from abroad)
  • 139 new models
  • 131 vessels over 20 meters (or 65 feet) long
  • 400 exhibitors from 25 countries

For attendees, you can avoid waiting at the show entrance by booking and printing your tickets in advance online. American Superyacht Forum Kicks Off this Weekend

Once a year, some of the world’s most influential business leaders in the mega yacht industry arrive in Newport, Rhode Island for the American Superyacht Forum. Now in its eighth year, the forum serves as one of the most important events for the American yachting industry.

This Sunday, May 23rd, the American Superyacht Forum will kick off with a team-building competitive regatta of a private fleet of classic racing yachts in Narragansett Bay. This American Superyacht Regatta is a memorable event in itself.

The following two days will feature an interactive conference program of speakers. They will address the core issues that affect the future growth of the large yacht industry. On Wednesday, May 26th, the last day of the forum, attendees will get a presentation and tour of the largest and latest yacht to be built on US soil, the MY Cakewalk.

Headline speakers at the American Superyacht Forum include investor and entrepreneur Wayne Huizenga, who will discuss his experiences entering the superyacht industry and how we can learn from his investments. Michael Moore of Moore & Company, who has been practicing maritime law for over 30 years, will also be sharing his passion for the yachting industry.
