Donzi was founded in 1964 by boat-racing legend Don Aronow and his partners, Walt Walters and Jim Wynne.  Jim Wynne invented the stern drive I/O power system.  Aronow was the original founder of Formula, which was so successful within its first year that he decided to sell it to Thunderbird.

Today, the Donzi line has expanded to include high quality motor yachts, center console fishing boats, performance boats, entry-level Ragazza series of runabouts, high performance fishing boats, and sportcruisers.  Donzis are built in the state of Florida, and marketed through a national dealer network.
